On Sunday afternoon, I (John) went fishing with a friend, in a canoe up the Clyde River. We specifically went to a section of the Clyde which was completely freshwater and not affected at all by the sea water.
After 3 hours of fishing we had landed 8 smallish bass (ranging in size from 15-25 cm). They were a lot of fun to land and helped to make an already great day better; the sun was out, the water was warm, and there was plenty of wildlife (red-bellied black snake and goanna) in addition to the bass. We landed the fish on Rapalla-type diving lures, and managed not to lose a single one although we did try our hardest. Pictures to follow...
