We are into the last week of school, and yesterday (Tuesday) was the swim fun day (can't remember what it was actually called) for St. Bernard's, where Natalie has been going to school. Students from years 3 to 6 went to the local pool, a 50 metre outdoor pool for a day of fun. They were divided into ability levels, and were permitted in various areas of the pool accordingly. For the most advanced swimmers, there was an inflatable obstacle course type thing in the deep end. The children had to dive through openings, and over cylinders and finally to a slide at the end. Otherwise, it was just swimming and playing in the water. The weather here has been unpredictable lately, not quite like what a summer should be with some rain and cool weather interspersed with typical 30+ degree days with lots of sun. Tuesday was one of the latter, which made for a very fun day at the pool.
